Common questions

What It Costs to Get It Flowing

How do quotes work?

You get a free, no-obligation quote before anything happens. Once we've had a look, we give you a fixed price before we start, and that's the number on the invoice. No surprises on the invoice, no revised figure halfway through.

What does "$50 off when you book online" cover?

Booking through our website takes $50 off the job, on top of whatever else applies. It stacks with the seniors discount, so both can apply to the same booking.

How does the 10% seniors discount work?

It's 10% off the labour on your job, applied automatically when you mention it at booking. There's no card to show and no form to fill in, and it stacks with the $50 online offer.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No. It's a $0 call-out fee whether we end up doing the job or not. You only pay once you've approved a fixed price.

Common questions

Licensed, Insured and Done Properly

What is an overflow relief gully and why does it matter?

It's the grated fitting near your house, usually at ground level, that stops sewage backing up into the house if the line downstream blocks. If yours is bubbling or overflowing, that's the drain telling you it's blocked further along, not a fault with the gully itself.

What warranty do I get?

A lifetime labour warranty on every job. If it's not right, we come back. No questions, no cost, for as long as the work stands.

Can I clear a blocked drain myself?

Usually not much further than a plunger will take you. Chemical cleaners and hired electric eels can push a clog deeper or damage older pipework. Any actual drainage work in NSW is a licensed plumber's job, not a DIY one.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or the water authority?

Everything from your boundary shaft in is yours, and that's the part we work on. If sewage is surfacing out on the street and your neighbours have the same problem, that points to a mains issue for the water authority rather than your own line.

Common questions

Response Times and Booking

How do I book online?

Use the form on our contact page and tell us what's happening. Book that way and the $50 online offer applies automatically, no code needed.

Are you really open 24/7?

Yes, 365 days a year including weekends and public holidays. A licensed plumber answers the phone every time you call.

How fast can you get here?

On-site in 30 minutes guaranteed for an urgent call-out. That's the promise whether it's the middle of the day or the middle of the night.

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Yes, every weekend and every public holiday, same as any other day. Overflowing pipes don't check the calendar before they let go, so neither do we.

Common questions

Local to Collaroy

What suburbs do you service?

Collaroy plus the Northern Beaches suburbs around it, including Narrabeen, Dee Why, Cromer, Beacon Hill and Brookvale. The same team and the same guarantees apply across all of them. See our Narrabeen, Dee Why, Cromer, Beacon Hill and Brookvale pages for more on each area.

Do you know Collaroy's pipe stock?

Most of Collaroy went up from the 1940s through the 1960s, with a strip of newer units and apartments along the Pittwater Road beachfront. Post-war pipework of that age is exactly the stock that turns up worn joints and tired connections when we run a camera through it.

How local are you, really?

We're on the Northern Beaches most weeks, Collaroy included, so the streets and the pipe stock aren't a surprise when we arrive. It's part of our regular run, not a suburb we're driving out to specially.

Do you work on strata and apartment blocks?

Yes. The beachfront strip along Pittwater Road carries a good run of unit blocks, and shared drain lines in strata buildings are exactly the kind of job we handle regularly.
